KiteProvo uses professional, certified instructors, with both PASA and IKO certification. Their priorities are your safety, fun and progress.

MIKE HAAS

Mike Haas has been a PASA (Professional Air Sports Association) Certified Kiteboard instructor since April 2004. He has taught hundreds of students and is a Level 3 Instructor, the highest level of instructor certification you can achieve. In 2008 he became Certified through IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) and has achieved Level 2 Instructor with that organization. Before coming to the Turks & Caicos Islands in Nov. 2006, he taught 2 years at Kitty Hawk Kites in North Carolina.

Mike is also a certified snowboard & hang gliding instructor. These certifications are with "American Association of Snowboard Instructors" and "United States Hang Gliding Association". Coming from a paragliding and hang gliding background has made him very safety oriented when teaching. He speaks fluent English, Spanish, & German.

 

TERRI TAPPER

Terri Tapper has lived on Provo for 9 years. She started teaching out of her love for the sport and became a PASA (Professional Air Sports Association) Certified Kiteboard instructor in Sept 2006. She then got her IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) Certification in 2008 and has achieved Level 2 Instructor. She is an active advocate at getting more women involved in kiteboarding. She has been featured on Kiteflix as Kitechick of the month, a Kitetricity rider, and Soulfly magazine.

There are very few windy days she will not be found on the water.
